Under the gaze of 200,000 curious people from all over the world, the heirs of Napoleon I, the Duke of Wellington and the Prince of Orange shake hands…
Joint declaration of the descendants of Emperor Napoleon I, the Duke of Wellington, Marshal Blücher and the Prince of Orange.
At the initiative of S.A.I. Prince Napoleon, the descendants of the 4 army chiefs (the Prince of Orange, the Duke of Wellington, Marshal Blücher and the Emperor Napoleon), who, two centuries before, fought in Waterloo among their courageous soldiers, agreed to sign together a joint declaration of Reconciliation and Peace. Thus, the King of Holland, the Duke of Wellington, Prince Blücher, and Prince Napoleon, have publicly read this declaration, each in their own language, in order to thus express, in their diversity, their common desire to celebrate Peace in Europe and thus contribute to the long European history.
Read the Joint Declaration.
